Men’s Hair Trends Winter 2015
I truly believe fashion is born on the street, not the runway. Catwalks are great for hair inspiration, but when it comes to knowing what’s on trend right now it’s all about looking around you.
Guys are certainly celebrating individuality at the moment and here are the Raymond Bottone team’s favourite looks this winter.
1. The Pompadour continues to be loved by guys
We’ve seen the quiff evolve into a really traditional influenced haircut. It continues to be all the rage this winter, made famous by Rotterdam’s popular ‘Schorem Barbier’.
A great cut is the key to a great pompadour. “I love the authentic slick pompadour”, says award-winning men’s stylist Raymond. “I find American Crew Defining Paste (£13 available in salon) plus a quick shot of your favorite hair spray to fix in place works a treat. A professional tip is to use the hairspray in small coats rather than one big spray!
“On days where you don’t wear it slick you might be able to get a wave from it, offering a more laid-back look.”
Here’s one of Raymond’s Instagram ‘Pomp’s’…
2. Men’s hair trends – The Fringe
Last year we won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Eastern Region with our interpretation of this look.
We really think this style is the big trend for those looking to be a little different this winter.
To achieve this trend at home try L’Oreal’s Deviation Paste (£10.95 at Raymond Bottone salon). We like its light hold – touchable throughout the day, perfect for those who like to mess about with their hair.
3. Mark Ronson’s “The Perm”
And finally, we love Mark Ronson’s song ‘Uptown Funk’. In the video we notice Mr. Ronson and Bruno Mars sporting rollers at the salon.
Great for getting waves in your hair – but we won’t hold our breaths on this becoming a 2015 trend :)
